Far too often I've seen this, and my heart goes out to you babies. Your dad and I both signed up for this life, filled with constant goodbyes and trips to the airports. You didn't. I apologize for that. No kiddo should constantly have to wonder when Daddy will be coming home. But you do, more often than I'd like.

Through it all, you persevere. You keep your heads up and know that this is all for a greater good. It takes a very special breed of kiddo to be a military child, and though it all you have smiles on your faces and don't complain. Thank you. Thank you for being my strength. Thank you for being there for each other. I am so glad you have each other to get through these times. Please hold each other's hands like this always.

I promise we do this for you. It may not seem that way not, and you probably won't get it for a long time. But, this is for you.
