I love you. Forever.
This is a project for our daughters, Elena and Isabella.
We are documenting your lives.
This is a record of all the good days, the bad days,
and all the days in-between.
pre-k 3
It's FINALLY your first-ever first day of school! You've been waiting for this day for a LOOOONG time now. Every day when you would come with me to pick Belly up you would say "esta es mi ecuela"...and now it is! Have you ever seen a cuter kid?! (Because, I haven't). I know you will do great this year!
fourth grade
Happy first day of 4th Grade! It's your last first day of elementary school. HOW THIS HAPPEN?! I'm not ready!
I can't believe how fast elementary school has gone by. I see you on the cusp of becoming a little lady...and it's so bittersweet for us. More and more I see a young lady blooming and less and less of my lispy little dimpled kid. I miss her so much! But, I know you're headed for big things...and I can't wait to see where this year takes you.

...and another one
Far too often I've seen this, and my heart goes out to you babies. Your dad and I both signed up for this life, filled with constant goodbyes and trips to the airports. You didn't. I apologize for that. No kiddo should constantly have to wonder when Daddy will be coming home. But you do, more often than I'd like.
Through it all, you persevere. You keep your heads up and know that this is all for a greater good. It takes a very special breed of kiddo to be a military child, and though it all you have smiles on your faces and don't complain. Thank you. Thank you for being my strength. Thank you for being there for each other. I am so glad you have each other to get through these times. Please hold each other's hands like this always.
I promise we do this for you. It may not seem that way not, and you probably won't get it for a long time. But, this is for you.
