This past weekend we had your baptism. We thought long and hard about the kind of people we wanted to be in your lives to guide you, should something ever happen to dad or me.
I take that back, it was not something we had to think long about. I knew Ash would be my choice. She has been my best friend for longer than you (or your sister) have been around, and one of the few people who I KNOW would without a doubt step up in my place if I was ever to not be around.
We picked Estevan because he's your dad's brother, and any time that we've needed him to step up and help when he's been away, he's done it. These are the types of people that we want in your life, and we're honored that they're your Godparents.

To my Goddaughter:
Let me start off by saying (I know this isn’t about your
mom, but) if friends were flowers I’d pick her to be my best friend over and
over again. You’re so lucky to have a mom like her (and dad) that care so much
about you and that would do anything for you and your sister. With that being
said, when she asked me to be your Godmother I was honored because I know she
only wants the best for you, and she chose me. A Godmother is someone who is
suppose to help guide you spiritually throughout life. I hope I can be much
more than just that for you, though. I hope you know as you grow up that you
can come to me with anything and I’ll be there to listen to you and lend my
advice, I can’t promise it will be THE BEST advice, but we can figure it out
together. I’ll always be rooting for you, you’re only 5 right now as I type
this up and I can already imagine how great you will be. You’re funny, sassy
and full of joy, don’t ever lose that kiddo! I can’t wait to watch you grow. I
can’t wait to be apart of your life, as your Godmother and friend. I love you.

Dear Elena,
It was an honor and a blessing to be asked by your parents to baptize you on this special day of yours. Your parents are important people to me so there was no doubt or hesitation in my mind to not take one the role as your God Father. I love you like my own and will always be here for you if ever you need guidance, support or just need someone else to listen to you. I love you !
