willy wonka

You're a shy kid. I'm pretty sure that by the time you read this, you'll still be the same shy kid you are now. We have tried to make it a point to give you your space and not force you to do anything too out of your comfort zone. That being said, it's always a concern for us. You tend to shy away from attention, and we don't want your voice to get lost amongst all the noise.

BUUUUTTTT that all changed this year. You came home very excited about the spring play, and even said you wanted to audition. Of course (as with everything you set your mind to), you knocked it out of the part and got the part! It's really something remarkable to see you come out of your shell.

This was the day you got the part.

Here are a few highlights from the play:

Baby,

I can't believe another year has passed. This year has been such a HUGE year for you. In this past year, you have really blossomed. You've come out of your shell so much...and we couldn't be prouder. You've gone out for the school play (and nailed it), you've learned to play piano (and nailed it).....and yet you're still so humble and kind. What more could we possibly ask for?

I see little changes in you that lets us know that you are closer and closer to becoming a little lady. This is both a very exciting and scary time for us. I hope that you continue to have the same innocence and gentle spirit that you have right now. Please know that we are always in your corner, and that we love you beyond measure.

So, this was the second year you were in this concert. It's crazy how much difference a year can make!

Of course you had your biggest fans there

words from amy (piano)

Isabella,

You are a smart and capable young lady. Thank you for the opportunity to teach you. There is a difference between talent and skill- you have talent. Remember, you can do anything you put your mind to.

                                                                                                        Sincerely,
                                                                                                           Amy

1st piano recital

Today you had your first piano. Baby, you did GREAT! I can't believe the strides you have made in just 5 short months. You were a bundle of nerves leading up to it, but when the time came for you to perform...you rocked it! Way to go, kiddo :)

Today you take your STAAR test. Your teacher sent us an assignment where we are to write you a letter encouraging you to do your best. Here was my attempt at being encouraging. I don't have to wish you good luck, baby. I know you will do great.
